something that bothers me….

i used to be a psychology major in college, and one things that really moved me is when we had a field trip to a bunch of different mental hospitals, the major mental hospital in the capital, this mental hospital that took care of kids, and adults that are kids in the head, and mental hospital for older women. and to clear things up, people with down syndrome are not as stupid as people think they are, why? because i sat down with some of them during the field trip and talked casually, and they talked normally, a little slow but they are were just as normal as me and you. and what’s sad is that most these kids were left by their parents because the parents didn’t want to accept the fact that they had a child with a mental problem, and some of these kids come from families which they came from are very well-off and wealthy.

people with down syndrome aren’t the only ones i saw, i saw kids that had cerebral palsy, sitting down in chair, hardly moving and more than 3 inches infront in a t.v. i’ve seen a couple adults there that look like they could be a model, but have the mind of a 5 year old, and what shocked/scared me the most was seeing this one dude, he was muscular and had a problem with his eyes and jaw, he sorta did this thing where it made him look like he was a piranha trying to bite something, but even though he looked scary like that he was dancing to music like how you would see a 3 year old dancing.

and even though all these people are mentally challenged i have never seen people as happy as they were, they had nothing, nothing us regular people enjoy, cameras, phones, internet and stuff like that. but they were as happy as kids on christmas.

and nowaday all i usually hear from people who seem to have a great life compared to the mentally challenged  are usually always complaining, and about little things they usually make a big deal out of. stuff like, not owning something new, clothes that are in style, annoying parents, relationships that aren’t going good and stuff like that.

people should be very lucky to have families, health and money to do the stuff we normally do, and be happy just like the people that have nothing at all.

haven’t been on in the longest time, had so much to deal with….

but i’m finally over all that.

and i’m trying to get in touch with my religious side again. i’ve been keep in touch with god lately and it feels pretty darn good.

i am going to write down the 7 deadly sins. and i want to learn to live by these.

  • Lust – to have an intense desire or need: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28).

  • Gluttony – excess in eating and drinking: “for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags” (Proverbs 23:21).

  • Greed - excessive or reprehensible acquisitiveness: “Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more” (Ephesians 4:19).

  • Laziness – disinclined to activity or exertion: not energetic or vigorous: “The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway” (Proverbs 15:19).

  • Wrath – strong vengeful anger or indignation: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1)

  • Envy – painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage: “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:1-2).

  • Pride - quality or state of being proud – inordinate self esteem: “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).

i’m sorta guilty to some of these. especially envy, i don’t get jealous of material things, but i get jealous when someone is better than me at things, or happens to have traits i have, such as charming, so i gotta work on that, wish me luck!!

bullies.

i hate the fact that people would do this. i mean it’s in my opinion sometimes, especially with freshman that think they’re all that.

and i know how it is to get bullied.

but i’m going to make sure non of my friends ever get bullied under my watch.

i have no problem fighting… as long as it’s for acceptable reasons.

i haven’t gotten in a fight for a while. but I’m sure i’m just as killer as before.

bitter, very bitter.

i hate watching stuff that are gore-ish on the internet. it makes me super paranoid, i’m not going to go into details about the video. but it had to do with 3 19 year old guys.

*sigh* wish there was more good than bad in this world…
